Associated Students (AS)

Associated Students represents and promotes active campus involvement through various programs in leadership, academics, and advocacy. From Concerts and Events to Wellness and Local Affairs, Associated Students strives to provide programming and services that students want and need on campus. Associated Students provided the following services:

  • Provides advising and funding opportunities to registered student organizations, university commissions and student services
  • Promotes student engagement and encourages involvement through leadership, advocacy and service in order to build and strengthen our community

AS Funding Requests

Funding requests are submitted online through the AS Finance website. Refer to the funding guidelines and deadlines on the website to complete your funding application. After funding is awarded, funds are managed by the SLBO Fund Managers.

Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA)

The Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) works on behalf of all graduate and professional students to advocate and represent the issues, needs, and concerns of graduate/professional students at UCSD. Through various activities and programming, GPSA enriches the lives of graduate and professional students and advances their interests politically, academically, and socially. GPSA provides Graduate and Professional students with the following services:

  • Provides services and funding to meet the special needs of the University’s diverse graduate and professional student community
  • Provides Social and Cultural events for graduate and professional students
  • Advocates and lobbies on political and social issues on behalf of graduate and professional students

GPSA Funding Requests

Funding requests are submitted via the GPSA website. Funding is awarded based on the type of funding applied for and is confirmed with a Final Finance Bill. Review the Funding Guidelines on their website to ensure you apply for the correct funding type.

Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service (SPACES)

SPACES is a fully funded, student run space that is focused on access and retention work through the University of California San Diego.  The mission of SPACES is to act as an empowering dynamic on campus where UCSD students collaborate to achieve greater educational equity. This encompasses equal access to higher education, undergraduate retention and graduation, and matriculation to graduate and professional schools.  

SPACES serves as the center for student-initiated access and retention projects at the university.
